Lucy : Third digipack and Feedback
Heres the digipack we created for Lucy
We received feedback from an army of people on their opinion on our initial design for our album cover/ Digipack. One issue raised with our first attempt at an album cover design , was that our artist appeared slightly blurry, although we did this as a choice of affect it clearly didn't look good. Another bit of negative feedback was that the style of font didn't fit the images on the cover where the font went consistent either and so overall it wasn't aesthetically pleasing. In my opinion the font didn't suit the cover design and looked very amateur. The front cover also seemed to not capture lucy in the way we would hope to represent her . Due to it being the first album cover our artist would have released, the front cover should include an image of her, as if to say this album is actually introducing our artist. Furthermore, people said a spine was critical for the album cover and couldn't be a complete project without one . Contrarily, positive feedback was aimed at the back cover of the album cover. No major changes were said to be made to it and the photograph included of our artist was also good; just needed to be in the foreground. Another criticism is that our artist is now synthetic and this album cover we designed emits the impression our artist is more organic especially the front cover as its very plain and calm. To further progress our album cover, I think the inside covers also have to change as there's no cosinstency and look very amateur . Lucy should be the focal point so possibly portrayed with the use of a close up, allowing clear expression. Besides, the font needs to also be changed to a more abstract style, whilst keeping the album title larger than our artists name.
