Snakehips website has many similarities to ours. For starters the tool bar at the top makes it easier for audiences to fin what they are looking for. It also makes the layout much more simple and the website easier to use therefore making our own website looking very professional. In addition, there is a large image of the band making them the centre of attention with there band name in bold writing thus attracting the audience. This is the same as on our website where Lucy is the first thing that can be seen to appeal to her fans and get them excited. Another similarity of the two websites is the fact that their latest music video is clearly visible on the website. We did this so that new fans can listen to our artists hit singles easily and become fans themselves. It also enables us to sell the artist as they can watch the music video and enjoy what she has to offer. Furthermore, on the side of the website there are links to other media platforms such as Vevo, Facebook and Instagram allowing the audiences to find other ways to keep up to date with the artist. This is something we did as we felt it was necessary to promote our artist through a varied amount of different media platforms.

One thing that you can notice that is similar between Jenny Hvals website and our artists website is the consistency with the colours of the background. Jenny Hvals background is far more plain coloured than ours however the fact that the same background is used throughout the website it connotes the fact that the artist is slightly distanced to the fans and the music industry thus showing she is an indie artist. In addition the website is easy to use through the use of the tool box giving people visiting the site an easy access to what they want to see on the website. Within these links there are other links to other social media websites where Jenny Hval is on such as Tumbler. We also did this with our artist so that fans and audiences can find new ways to connect with our artist and gain updates about new music and other aspects of her career, for example live performances. Another similarity of the two websites is the use of music videos to promote the artist. The music videos on our website and Jenny Hvals is easy to access and one of the first things to pop up. We did this so that new visitors will be able to see some of Lucys best work and learn about her through the star image of the music video. This can lead to more people enjoy her as a person and then buying her music as they enjoyed their experience.
