Research into real-life incidents that are similar to our film and how they have influenced our characters

In the news over in the past there have been many kidnapping stories.

I think a story like this could make a good thriller as it is one of the most scariest things to hear about in the news. The fact that these hostages feel bad for their kidnappers and create a surprisingly unbreakable bond. I find that these stories are all so different and could make an interesting intro to a thriller. Our villain will act the same way Joseph Fritzl did, in a weird and creepy way to the girl. Furthermore, the girl in the bottom news article has connotations of vulnerable and innocent and again this is what we will hope to show across our opening sequence with our girl being blonde and acting as the protagonist we hope we will be able to.
