Analysis of costume
Below is a picture of Jake Bugg, an organic musician, singer and songwriter. He has a very natural look as seen in this picture, no alterations had been bade, such as make-up. His hair is unkept and looks very tired. It would make sense for Jack to adopt a similar style. With this in mind, we intend to use items of clothing that our group members already own, in order to minimise our costs. Our actor, will wear his own pair of shoes but must be clearly worn to show the extensive use. Furthermore, the actor will be wearing a full sport tracksuit, demonstrating a lack of care for his appearance. As an outerwear peace, the actor should wear a big coat, to highlight the fact it is winter, cold outside and feels cold as a person, perhaps an inference an audience can make about the character.
Likewise, the actress in Ed Sheeran's 'A Team' music video is dressed in a tracksuit and has a blanket wrapped around her throughout the majority of the video, highlighting how cold she is as well as the fact she seems to often sleep rough on a park bench. Accompanied with a black and white filter, the video gives off a downhearted feel, allowing an audience to sympathise with the protagonist who clearly appears to be suffering. This shows how costume is one of the key factors in helping an audience understand the context of a video and is why as a group we need to focus on executing in the right way.
