Our Actor

As a group we made a decision to select our actor based on previous experience as well as our thoughts on his ability to portray a compelling character in a way we require. Jack recently made a convincing performance in the AS horror teaser video 'The Crypt', whereby the group obtained an A, no doubt the acting was a large part of that success. Additionally, Jack shows a passion for acting and was extremely enthusiastic about aiding our group in creating the music video. He is a 17 year old teenager, who will be playing a male of the age 18, which fits the age group of our target audience, allowing viewers to empathise with the protagonist. 

We intend to have our actor, roam around the streets of London, drinking alcohol, smoking cigarettes and getting up to mischief. The alcohol will be fake (replaced with water or juices), but the cigarettes are needed to be real in order to show the full effect of the video, showing his dedication to the group. As well as this, we will have him dress in a particular way to accentuate his lack of care for himself and his appearance. For example, he will dress very casually, in dirty clothes and his hair will be a mess. The way he goes about doing things will reveal his lack of concern for personal hygiene as well as concern for those around him, i.e. not showering and barging into strangers along the path he takes throughout the day.
