Our Actress

The actress who will play the role of our depressed and alcohol addicted character is Lucy Johnson. The reason our group decided to go for a girl rather than a boy to play the role is because our song is recorded by a girl and wanted that to match the music video. Furthermore we believed she would fulfil the role much better as she would show greater passion and commitment to the role. In addition to this we have taken great influence from Ed Sheehan's A-team as he has a female character playing that role and we have based our music video on the success of Ed Sheehan's A-team.

We held auditions for this role but went with Lucy over Jack as we felt a girl was far more suited to the role than a boy. Especially as our target audience is predominantly a female audience who will be able to identify on a similar level with Lucy. It is generally known that girls are more emotional and express their emotions through various forms of art such as music. Likewise, Lucy is able to connect with an audience in this way, thus is able to gain more sympathy than a teenage boy would due to her innocence.
